The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Seven Sorrows, also known as Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary, refers to the seven most painful moments that the Virgin Mother encountered during her lifetime as the Christ Jesus’ Mother. Simeon prophesied the sorrows during the Baby Jesus presentation at the temple by his Mother Mary and fostered father, Joseph. Below is a table showing the different noun prefixes in Nkwen Language. There are nine (9) noun classes following the noun prefixes. The prefixes in class one (1) are made up of the nasals (m, n). It should be noted that classes 2, 5 and 7 are plural classes while the rest are singular. Thus, class seven (7) is different from class (3) three which is a singular class, though they both bear the prefix ǝ̀. The last class (9) has no noun prefix.
